Someone just gave you a piece of cake.
It looks really good, you taste it, you like it, and you end up eating the whole thing. You’re probably happy about this little event in your life.
Then this someone tells you that this cake was made by Hitler himself.
How are you feeling now? Are you feeling really bad to have enjoyed something created by such a person, or are you feeling okay because whatever the person did has no relation with their skills in cooking? Maybe somewhere in the middle?
Should you feel bad for liking it? Some people will tell you yes, and some others will tell you that you shouln’t.
Should you feel bad for not liking it? Some people will tell you yes, and some others will tell you that you should’t.
How do you feel about the person that gave it to you?
Would you take another piece of that cake?
Would you give a piece of that cake to someone else? Would you tell them who made it?
Would you pay money for a piece of that cake?
Would you buy and wear a t-shirt of that bakery?
Would you tell the baker that their cake was good?
Would you cook a cake with them?
Would you invite the baker to a “Cooking Festival”?
Would you give him the first prize if he entered and won a cooking contest?
Whatever the “cake” and the “Hitler”, most people will find their limit at different points. The only thing you can actually do is to be true to yourself, and understand that others might have a different limit than you do.
